Background:

In the dark depths of space, who knows what awaits mankind? Probably some brain sucking aliens who need an introduction to my fist. But what if the final frontier was a little...furry? That's where the story of one very special wolf girl comes into play.

At the forests of Japan, on September 18, 1982, a large orb of blue fire fell from the heavens and crash landed on Earth. The explosion was massive, nearly shaking the very foundation. But no one, not even astronomer Ayu Mizuki was expecting what to find. A small wailing baby wolf with unusual markings. It was unlike anything she had even witnessed. Fearing the idea that this otherworldly child would be a lab rat for scientists to cut open, Ayu took the baby pup with her and hid her in her laboratory from any curious eyes. It was a complete shock to her. Ayu was never able to figure out what this wolf was or who it belonged to. She was a complete mystery, yet it seemed like she grew fond of Ayu. Sensing her as her own mother. With that in mind, Ayu took the wolf into her care and raised her like her own child, naming her Mirai Mizuki.

For many years, Ayu and Mizuki were very content with their life. Mizuki was very curious of Earth and wanted to know every bit of it. She would often listen to her foster mother's stories, read up on books by well known authors, and even tried doing a bit of research on her own. A lot of times, Mizuki would often be with her mother, reading her books and watching some of her favorite shows.One of them, Saint Seiya got her attention. She was very curious if she could do anything like that. Or if it was even plausible. So she kept messing around, shouting out the attack names like a little kid. Then when she turned 14, her body started to go through some changes and actually performed one move that was similar to Andromeda Shun. This shocked Mirai that she could do this horrifying yet amazingly impossible feat. Asking her mother to do some tests on it, Ayu found out that Mirai was no ordinary wolf girl. Her body was some how able to generate some sort of source of cosmic and/or reality warping power source that gave her these great abilities. Which begged Mirai asking herself 'Who or what am I?'

As time went on, Mirai carried about her life just like any ordinary wolf girl. She attended school regularly and made a few friends and even several dates (on both ways). She was a quick learner and really observational girl, helped out by her wolf like senses. Her friends Iku Ishiyama, Seika Chiba, and Hirokumi Okano, took a bit of a liking with her. When she discovered that these students were god slayers after killing their first god using nothing but Beretta 92F pistols and a tank of gasoline, Mirai explained to them what she was and how she wanted to know what this all meant. So they took her to their base in the demon realm, had a few experiments on her, and found out she was from a part of the universe named the Relmerc System, a galaxy that is most well known for having animal-like humanoids. One colony in particular, from a planet known only as Min-478, had wolf humanoids that carried striking resemblances to Mirai. It was at that moment that Mirai was in a state of shock so much, she ran away with tears pouring down her face. Fearing of what her mother would think, she wandered the wilderness.

Years had past, Mirai was living off the land and was almost up to a point where she was going to lose her humanity. Giving in to her inner wolf instincts. But then one day, another ball of fire fell to the Earth and struck close to where Ayu was. Mirai wasn't sure what to do, but followed it to see that her foster mother was on the floor with half of their house on her. Completely ignoring her fears, Mirai went to aid her mother where they were reunited with love felt tears. Yet they were not alone. A male wolf humanoid, much like Mirai, looked down on them were much feral anger. Thinking he was a threat, Mirai went at him, trying to bring him down. After a hard fought match, this male was set to take the win, until Mirai sprang back up and used her Saint Seiya attack on him, Nebula Storm. A destructive blast that would obliterate anything upon in back. With this she killed the Alpha male, only to find out he was hiding a secret. With his dying breath, he told Mirai the oh so clever plot twist saying...'I am your father.' Turns out that he was in fact Zeritas Lirdaga, the dominate ruler of Mirai's people and his long lost father. At first, Mirai wasn't sure what to think of it. Though considering she had no recollection of him or what she was before, she went back to tending to Ayu. Ayu made it out alive, and was nursed back to her full health in months. Once there, Mirai tried to uncover more about her families history. Fearing that others would come to find Zeritas, Mirai went to mother and apologized for running away and then told her that she would never let anyone harm her again. So she went back to her friends to explain the whole thing, where Seika decided to help her out in the ways of combat. With them, they molded her into a real hero under her stage name the Star Witch.

Mirai's unique martial art, the Way of the Wolf, utilizes her wolf like senses and reflexes well with her great strength and speed. She was a well rounded fighter in all sorts of ways, yet long range combat was her bread and butter. One of her weapons of choice is the kusarigami, a famous Japanese weapon that combines a sickle blade with a ball and chain. Designed for attacking at a distance and disarming people, Mirai uses the kusarigama like it was a toy jump rope. She was very good in controlling the battlefield with wide whip swings, powerful kicks, and precise attacks. Yet she's not exactly infallible. Despite most people agreeing she has amazing power, Mirai isn't exactly as intimidating as some would think. She would often like to settle things peacefully rather than just going in sword swinging. She's also known for getting into a lot of trouble cause she's a lone wolf that doesn't like to depend on others. Depending on what she's doing, it can get her into a lot of trouble. And should she get pissed off too much she'll enter her feral rage and go into her animal instincts, ignoring all pain and reasoning to get to her opponent. Yet she has consistently proven that she can do anything the God-slayers can do but better. Mirai is a warrior who uses everything to her advantage. Including the power of the cosmos.
